Asus recently disclosed that it’s experiencing some problems with updating its 2014 ZenFone smartphones to android Lollipop. Thankfully, those problems are resolved, and today Asus started rolling out the promised updates to the ASUS’s ZenFone Family Zenfone 4,5 and 6.
While Asus is pushing the updates over the air (in phases) to all 3 ZenFone models, users can even manually download the required files. Asus notes that android Lollipop does not support some of the apps pre-installed on its smartphones, thus these are removed once the update is complete. At the same time, alternative apps are added in the system update. you’ll see all the changes, and transfer the system update files at the source links found at the end of this article.
Released in early 2014, the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 are still on the market to shop for around the world, despite the very fact that this year Asus introduced its 2nd-generation family of ZenFone handsets, together with the ZenFone 2, ZenFone Zoom and, additional recently, the ZenFone Selfie. All the ASUS’s smartphones introduced this year are running android Lollipop out of the box.
